Wow, I have not used my LJ in months! Well, here I am finally! Maybe we can get our little LJ community started up again xD
Well, for starters on an update, I've been working a lot more on my Korean lately. At the moment, I'm trying to reinforce what I know about the Hangul letter system so that I can read them more rapidly. I know what all of them translate to, I just want to get the sounds and recognition skills before I move onto the hardcore Korean learning!
I've picked up nail art and I learned a new technique called 'water marbling!' It's so much fun! You get to mix all the colors you want together and make a little design (my mom compared it to one of those little coffee art things), stick your finger in over the design you want and bam! You have an awesome design! Right now, I have a mixture of a dark blue, a medium-dark purple, a teal, and a hot pink (really pops) on my nails. Once I finish the other nails, I'll post some pictures up on Facebook. I'm practicing my gradient nails, and while I'm still learning, I think I'm doing rather well with it. So far, I did a gradient pink on my thumbs, a teal fading into a pink on my ring fingers, and a dark purple fading into teal on my pinkies. That teal is really multifunctional xD I love how it can be dark or light, depending on what you match it with, and still look great. I'm still not sure what to do on my middle fingers yet, and I may change my ring fingers to something else (maybe another water color or a cute design? I did a star and some circles last time.) I was going to do checkers, but I'm not so sure that's turning out so great with the look I'm going for right now. I love how all these colors contrast and yet compliment each other.
On the family note. My cousin and I are starting to talk to each other again. (yay) Hopefully my family relations will get better from here on out and I can have more than just my mom on my list of who I claim as my family.
